Nelly van der Knaap

Nelly started out as a self-taught ceramics artist, who later pursued advanced techniques in shaping and glazing from other achieved artists. Nowadays, she has become an experienced ceramic artist, and has started teaching ceramic courses in her own studio.

Due its translucent property after firing, Nelly favors porcelain as the material when shaping her works. But more often than not, she finds satisfaction in her creation after applying surface decorations. Next to her attention on the appearance, it is also important for her that she creates objects that possess practical functions.

Nelly's works have been sold or exhibited in famous art galleries across the Netherlands.
