Li Zhen

After graduation from JDZ Ceramics University, Li Zhen started his own studio in 2013. Talented in throwing technique and inspired by the nature around him, his works feature a carefully-considered comfort when viewed and held in the palm, and cover a great varieties ranging from cups, to tea pots, to filter coffee vessels, and decorative objects.

He interests in life and culture difference prompted him to work in international exchange projects where he can meet artists from various background and culture. Among those artists, with whom he has developed a good connection, there is Simone Haak, a like-minded Dutch artist, who appreciates culture diversity and holds strong interests in China. Together, in 2015, they have created the ZhenXi collection, where the two artists collaborate and apply their distinct creativity into a series of unique works that fuse the west and the east.
