The New Longshan Series

The New Longshan culture, first discovered at the present day Shandong province, was a culture alone the Yellow River, and spanning in time roughly from 3000 - 1900 BC.

Artefacts excavated from Longshan culture sites featured black pottery with refined firing technique and control over its shape.

Wan Li Ya, who also lives in Shangdong province, has drawn inspiration from the Longshan cultrue artefacts, and produce the series of works here.
